Commonly asked questions
Newborn
I have had a few questions pop up recently in relation to booking a Newborn Session so thought I would answer them here for anyone else who might have the same questions.....
1st Question........
When is it best to book a Newborn Session?
If you can get in touch before your baby arrives, I can secure time in my dairy by adding in your due date and we then arrange a time for your session when your baby has arrived. However this is not always necessary, as I can never turn away the chance of a newborn snuggle, so please still do get in touch if your baby has already arrived, as I will most certainly still be able to squeeze you in.
2nd Question......
What age should my baby be when booking a Newborn Session?
It is suggested that a newborn session is arranged within the first 2 weeks of their arrival, however I know this isn’t always possible, with perhaps an extended stay in hospital, just wanting to soak up this early days at home and not feeling ready to venture out. So I say you book in your session for whenever you are ready, this might mean baby is 5days old, 2 weeks, 5 weeks or even 2months old. So no matter what age your baby is at their newborn session, I can create some beautiful photos for you to cherish forever.
3rd Question....
What Happens if my Baby doesn't sleep during their Newborn Session?
Well........your photo gallery may look a little like this!!!!
Final Question........
What should we wear?
First of all and most importantly you must feel comfortable.
Then after that I suggest that you choose neutral colours where possible or items of clothing of one colour and nothing with bright or bold patterns that could be distracting.
And for your baby... a little white vest is all that is needed. I do also have a few neutral knitted outfits that you are more than welcome to use or bring along your own.
